<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Aim of the study was to assess the possibilities of recovering the functions of attention and short-term memory in patients with vascular cognitive disorders using a computer program for cognitive training. Material and methods. The study included 17 cardiac surgery patients who underwent a course of cognitive training, starting from 3–4 days after surgery, daily for 5–7 days. The cognitive training program consisted of tasks stimulating the functions of selective attention, visuospatial and working memory. Results. Almost all patients (88 %) reported an acceptable level of subjective difficulty in the performing cognitive training. After completing the cognitive training program, the selective attention improved in 53 % of cases, working memory – in 67 %, the visuospatial memory test scores – in 47 % of patients. Conclusions. The computer-based cognitive training program showed acceptable subjective difficulty in cardiac surgery patients. Approximately 50 % of patients showed an improvement in trained cognitive functions at the final stage of training. The results of approbation of the cognitive training program give an opportunity to determine the degree of compliance of cognitive rehabilitation methods with the psychophysiological status of patients undergoing cardiac surgery, including in the late postoperative period.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>когнитивная тренировка</kwd><kwd>внимание</kwd><kwd>рабочая память</kwd><kwd>зрительный стимул</kwd><kwd>сенсомоторная реакция</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>cognitive training</kwd><kwd>attention</kwd><kwd>working memory</kwd><kwd>visual stimulus</kwd><kwd>sensorimotor response</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование проводилось при поддержке фундаментальной темы ФГБНУ НИИ КПССЗ «Разработка инновационных моделей управления риском развития болезней системы кровообращения с учетом коморбидности на основе изучения фундаментальных, клинических, эпидемиологических механизмов и организационных технологий медицинской помощи в условиях промышленного региона Сибири», № госрегистрации 122012000364-5 от 20.01.2022.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">This study was supported by the Federal State Ministry of Science and Education of Russian Federation (Fundamental research topic No. 122012000364-5, dated January 20, 2022).</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Murphy M.P., Corriveau R.A., Wilcock D.M.
